ONERA is recruiting a post-doctoral researcher, within the ANR-ASTRID AI4AO project, to support the exploitation, optimisation and forthcoming upgrades of RAMA, the adaptive-optics platform commissioned in August 2026 on the FEELINGS telescope at ONERA. The position description document below details the distinctive features of the RAMA bench: a non-modulated pyramid wavefront sensor in the visible, an open, AI-oriented real-time control architecture, and a multi-purpose scope spanning astronomy, space situational awareness and free-space optical communications.
One important point: ONERA is subject to the national rule governing post-doctoral recruitment by public industrial and commercial establishments (EPIC). Candidates must have defended their PhD less than three years before the start of the contract.
